Armed for spiritual warfare

When everything is going your way and you can see and feel God’s favor working in your life you may feel ready for whatever life throws at you. But it’s during those times when it feels like you‘re just waiting for the other shoe to drop and like nothing is going right that it’s easy to feel overwhelmed and unprepared for life’s daily challenges. It Is important to remember that what we feel (our feelings and emotions) is just an outward appearance and expression of the real battle taking place. We are in a spiritual battle and it‘s satan’s goal to make us doubt who we are in Christ Jesus and cause us to forget the victory that we have in Him. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12 KJV

Satan wants us to handle things the world’s way; which is based on how we feel at the moment with no regard for the consequences rather than what would be pleasing to the Lord. But don’t quit and don’t give in! Be Encouraged in knowing that through Christ’s death and resurrection not only do we have an advocate who intercedes for us (Romans 8:34-37) with our heavenly Father but also through obedience to the word of God we can be armed for this spiritual warfare.

“(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)”

2 Corinthians 10:4 KJV

Remind yourself Daily who you are and the victory that you already have in Jesus Christ with these verses:

I Corinthians 15:57 KJV

“But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Romans 8:37 KJV

“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.“

Psalms 30:5 KJV

“For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”
